Chillington Hall, the magnificent Stately Home in South Staffordshire, is hosting its fourth Food and Country Fair, on Sunday 18th July between 10am and 5pm, after its huge success last year!

The Food Fair is organised in conjunction with South Staffordshire Tourism Association and South Staffordshire District Council and looks set to be a fantastic family day out!

Over 50 stalls of local produce will be on display with the chance to sample local delicacies from businesses such as Beez Neez honey, Manor Fruit Farm, Wycherley Fine Foods, Gourmet Bites and the Leek Beer & Cheese Company to name but a few!

And if that’s not enough to stimulate your appetite there will be a wide variety of refreshments available including a Hog Roast, Chillington Lamb Burgers and traditional cream teas and cakes from the local WI!

In addition to all this fabulous food on offer, there will be a classic car exhibition, Punch and Judy shows, Circus Magic and even donkey rides! An Archery display, a medieval re-enactment and even Dancing Dogs will be there to keep the whole family entertained.

Chillington Hall will also be open to the public, which has been the home of the Giffard family for more than 800 years, the present house being built in 1786. This fine Georgian House sits in beautiful landscaped parkland designed by Capability Brown in the 1760’s.

Great New Educational Wooden Toys

by Lisa on June 6, 2010

We have added quite a few items to our shop this week (see http://store.lottybox.com/). I have picked two of these items in this post to have a closer look at.

Butterfly Sort and Stack PictureThe first new item is a Butterfly Sort and Stack a great educational wooden toy suitable from  1.5 years old. This fantastic butterfly can develop your child’s mind and learning capacity through play. It can improve your child’s hand eye coordination and knowledge of shapes, forms and colours. However, your children will just think they are having a lot of fun.

Trains the motoricity and the recognition of forms – the colourful wooden rings have to be sorted on the different shaped cylinders with different geometric form. Also includes a caterpillar attached with velcro allowing you to bring fun stories to learning.

The second item is adding to our items to help young people with maths skills, like our Fraction Board. The Number Matching Game can help your child learn their numbers by matching to pictures on wooden cards that can be slotted together.

Both new items and more can be found on our website at www.lottybox.com
